DocuWare and Microsoft programs work hand in glove, providing significant productivity boosts and a seamless experience for the end user - yes, that would be you.
By far the most well known combination is DocuWare and Microsoft Outlook. Typically we connect the two via Connect to Outlook, which integrates with the Outlook desktop client. This had limitations, not least of which was the lack of support with the web version of Outlook, which meant Mac users couldn't benefit.
Now though, we have the new DocuWare Add-In for Outlook which provides a seamless connection of DocuWare Cloud with Microsoft Outlook, both with the web and desktop version. Users can store their email in a DocuWare tray or directly in a file cabinet, choosing which attachments to transfer to DocuWare.
Unlike the DocuWare Connect to Outlook desktop app, the add-in is suitable for Microsoft's web and online versions in all browsers, including Mac operating systems. You can get the DocuWare Add-In from the Microsoft Store right now.
Introduced early in 2023, DocuWare and Microsoft Teams integration provides real collaboration and quality of life benefits, including easy document search, archive and sharing from within Teams.
Now the integration goes further, giving you the ability to add Lists from DocuWare as tabs within Teams. This means you can open and edit documents stored in DocuWare from within Teams - perfect for those who don't use DocuWare on a regular basis.
Not only that, workflow tasks can also be added as a tab in Teams - and you can work directly on them too! Of course, you have to have the required rights within DocuWare to do this.
For Cloud customers DocuWare can be added to Teams via the Teams Apps section within the application. For on premise customers you will need the DocuWare Connect to Teams module.
These newest innovations build on the well established DocuWare/Microsoft partnership with the rest of the 365 suite, which quite simply provides the best, most streamlined collaboration experience we can find, as well as saving time for all users - and yes, that would be you!
